Vintgar Gorge is a 1600-meter-long and up to 250-meter-deep canyon located on the eastern edge of the Triglav National Park, 4 kilometers northwest of the center of Bled. It is one of the most magical places to visit in Slovenia. The picturesque trail leads you over wooden bridges and galleries, and ends with a bridge overlooking the mighty Šum waterfall.
Vintgar gorge is located 4 km away from Bled city centre, main bus station and 8 km away from railway station Lesce – Bled.
Visiting Vintgar gorge
Visiting Vintgar Gorge is a 3+ hour experience that connects a one-way path through the Vintgar Gorge with two return thematic paths, leading back to the Vintgar entrance point. After exiting the Vintgar Gorge at the Šum waterfall, you can choose between the historically themed Path of King Triglav or the shorter, more shaded, and nature-oriented Path of the River of Trees.

If hiking the full 3-hour loop around the Gorge isn’t ideal for you, our shuttle service provides a convenient alternative. We offer the nearest drop-off and pick-up location right at Vintgar Gorge! Our service operates from our office in Bled, taking you directly to the entrance of the gorge. The return shuttle departs from Natour bar, just a 10-minute walk from the end of the Gorge, making it the closest pick-up point for your return journey.
